The County of San Mateo wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use assistive technology.
Our standard
This website is built and maintained to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Problems are fixed in the site’s code, templates, components and content. The site does not use an accessibility overlay or widget.
How we check
- Automated scans of every page against WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules, after each release and on a recurring schedule
- Manual checks of keyboard use, focus order, headings, labels, color contrast, alternative text and mobile layouts
- A quarterly accessibility status report to the County
